Community spirit was in full force this past Friday, July 25th, as College Hype hosted its second annual dunk tank and cold plunge fundraiser. With the help of the College Hype team, Paul Wahlberg,  Bill Richard and Joe Carroll from National Grid, Gerry Keane from Feeney Bros and Jon Norton, we were able to raise $10,000 dollars during our annual Dunk Tank Challenge — expertly emceed by Jim Fagan and Evan Doherty.

A Perfect Summer Day for an Extraordinary Cause

Despite the sweltering heat that made it one of the hottest days of the year, scores of supporters gathered at our Weymouth location, ready to take on the challenge of dunking colleagues and braving the cold plunge—all in support of a foundation that's making a real difference in the lives of individuals and families facing spinal cord injuries.

Hosted by our own Jack Doherty and the entire College Hype team, with the enthusiastic emceeing by Evan Doherty and Jim Fagan, the event brought together friends, families, employees, and community members for an afternoon of fun, laughter, and meaningful fundraising. The atmosphere was electric as participants nominated employees for dunking with $25+ Venmo donations, turning what could have been just another hot summer day into something truly special.

Looking Ahead

As we reflect on the success of this year's event, we're already looking forward to next year's fundraiser. The enthusiasm and generosity shown by our community gives us confidence that we can continue to grow this event and our impact on the Matt Brown Foundation's vital work.

We're proud to be part of a community that understands the importance of supporting one another, especially during life's most challenging moments. The Matt Brown Foundation exemplifies the idea that when one door closes, others remain open—and sometimes it takes a community to help find them.

Thank You

To everyone who participated, donated, dunked, plunged, and supported this event in any way—thank you. Your generosity will directly impact individuals and families who are navigating some of life's greatest challenges. You've proven once again that when we come together as a community, we can make extraordinary things happen.

The success of our second annual fundraiser isn't just measured in dollars raised—though over $10,000 is certainly something to celebrate—it's measured in the hope we've helped provide, the community we've strengthened, and the reminder that no one has to face their challenges alone.
