Corey C. Griffin (1986–2014) was a force of love, energy, and purpose. To know Corey was to feel seen, uplifted, and inspired. The oldest of three children, Corey Christopher Griffin grew up in Hingham. He was an accomplished athlete, playing hockey at Thayer Academy, the Taft School, and Babson College, where he studied finance and entrepreneurship.

From an early age, Corey believed in the power of giving back. He didn't wait for a "perfect time" to help others; he knew the right time was now. Just before his tragic death in a diving accident in Nantucket on August 16, 2014, at age 27, Corey had raised $100,000 for ALS research in honor of his friend Pete Frates. His commitment to philanthropy wasn't just admirable – it was infectious.
