Every year on the first Sunday in June, residents of Dorchester gather to celebrate the history of Boston’s biggest and most diverse neighborhood. College Hype has been participating in Dorchester Day for over thirty years and we trace our roots back to selling t-shirts at Johnny's Exxon on Gallivan Boulevard - a humble beginning with the Dorchester community that still exists today.

Those first Dorchester Day shirts captured the neighborhood pride that continues to define our Dorchester Apparel brand. Our collection has grown to include iconic local landmarks and symbols that resonate with residents past and present. The distinctive Dorchester Gas Tanks shirts commemorate the rainbow swashed gas tank operated by National Grid.

For those with spiritual connections to the community, our Dorchester Parishes shirts pay homage to the historic churches that have served as anchors in the neighborhood for generations, from St. Gregory's to St. Mark's and beyond. A popular collection is our OFD (Originally From Dorchester) line - a proud declaration worn by those born and raised in Dorchester, as well as those who've moved away but carry their neighborhood pride wherever they go. These shirts have become a unifying symbol for Dorchester natives across generations.

We thank all of our customers of "Dot Day" and look forward to seeing everyone on June 1, 2025. Be sure to stop by our booth to check out the latest Dorchester-themed apparel and celebrate this special day with us. After all these years, there's still nothing quite like the pride and community spirit of Dorchester Day!
